The National Building Envelope Council/Conseil National de l’Enveloppe du Bâtiment (NBEC/CNEB) of Canada is a non-profit organization that was incorporated in Edmonton, Alberta, the 8th of December 1987.

Alberta Building Envelope Council South (ABEC) is a Non Profit Society Dedicated To The Promotion Of Better Understanding Of The Building Envelope. The Building Envelope incorporates all of the roofs, walls, windows, floors and foundations that enclose the indoor environment of a building.
